Back in 2008, Desiree almost died. It was shortly after the birth of Anthony that she began to feel a little “off” in the middle of the night. So, she drove herself to the hospital. As she walked into the emergency room she immediately felt the worst headache she had ever experienced in her life. (Looking back on it now she knows God protected her as she drove to the hospital and once she was there her symptoms came on full force.) As she walked up to the desk she could barely see. Have you ever had a headache so bad you couldn’t see straight?
As she approached the desk in tears she explained she had just had a baby less than 48 hours ago and needed help! They took her over to a nurse and took her blood pressure. It said it was 178/117. The nurse didn’t believe it could be that high because she was so young (only 23) but it was. They placed her in wheel chair and rushed her upstairs, placed her in a room, shut the lights off and told her the doctor would be in shortly. Not even a minute later the door bursts open and in come 5 hospital personnel. One is hooking her up to an IV, one is firing questions at her and the others are doing things in the background. It was truly one of the scariest moments of her life. They administered an IV drip of magnesium that made her feel like her body was on fire. A kind nurse sat beside her to keep applying cool compresses to her head to cool her down. Turns out she had experienced post partum pre-eclampsia. She was told if she had not come into the hospital that night she could have DIED.Â
Now, what does this all have to do with tea you ask? After she recovered and was released from the hospital she swore she would NEVER END UP IN THE HOSPITAL AGAIN!Â
She began her research on different foods, supplements, lifestyle changes and how tea could help her take a proactive approach to staying out of the hospital. Since her recovery she hasn’t been sick in over 15 years, Anthony hasn’t been sick his ENTIRE childhood and her husband Paul hasn’t been ill either. Â

I've suffered from insomnia since high school. I would stay up late studying and obsessing about my homework and find it impossible to turn my mind off. As I became an adult, worries about my career, balancing my checkbook in my head, wondering if as a mom am I doing it right by my kids.... it's really hard for me to wind down. I've tried lots of things like Melatonin and other supplements, even medications and while sometimes they can help me fall asleep, I feel so groggy and unrested the next day. So now, I brew a cup of Deep Sleep an hour or so before I go to bed. I'm going to be honest, I often can't even finish the cup before I'm climbing in bed. Just remember the cardinal rule, never wake a sleeping baby or an insomniac mother!
I have thoroughly enjoyed each tea blend I've tried. The rapid recovery definitely helped me kick a cold before it got a chance to turn into something. I'm grateful to know only quality ingredients are being used in the tea and that the makers are praying as they make it.
