Homemade Fire Cider Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 Fire Cider Herbal Kit
- 16 ounces (1 quart) of organic apple cider vinegar with the mother
- 1/2 cup of raw honey (optional, for sweetness)
Instructions:
-
Open the Fire Cider herbal kit.
-
In a large, clean glass jar or bottle, pour the 16 ounces of organic apple cider vinegar with the mother. The “mother” is the cloudy sediment often found at the bottom of the vinegar, and it contains beneficial enzymes.
-
Add the prepared herbal blend from the Fire Cider kit to the vinegar in the jar.
-
Seal the jar or bottle with a tight-fitting lid.
-
Shake the jar vigorously to ensure all the ingredients are well-mixed.
-
Place the Fire Cider in a cool, dark place, like a pantry or cupboard, and let it infuse for at least 2-4 weeks. Shake the jar gently every day or so to agitate the contents.
-
After the infusion period, strain the Fire Cider to remove all the solid ingredients. You can use a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
-
Transfer the strained Fire Cider to clean glass bottles or jars and add the honey if you’d like and store it in the refrigerator. It will keep for several months.
To use, take a small shot of Fire Cider (about 1-2 tablespoons) daily diluted in water as a health tonic, or use it in recipes as a flavorful addition. It’s known for its immune-boosting properties and can help support overall wellness. Be aware that Fire Cider is quite potent due to the ingredients, so you might want to start with a smaller dose and increase gradually. Enjoy your homemade Fire Cider!
